I need Hair help please?

Ok so i have very untamed frizzy poofy hair. Its has to be worn in a ponytail all the time cause theres no other way to manage it. I need help trying make my hair nice so that i don't have to wear it in a ponytail. If you need an example of what this look like. It just like rudy huxtable on the cosby show. the littlest girls hair. That's exactly how mine is. please help.
